Privacy Policy

1. What data Origin Path collects
Origin Path collects health and lifestyle data that you enter manually or that is imported from Apple HealthKit with your explicit permission. This includes:
- Health & fitness data — sleep hours and timing, heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), step count, workout type and duration, alcohol units (iOS 17+), nutrition quality indicators, hydration, supplement adherence, and stress-practice minutes.
- Reproductive health data — TTC (trying-to-conceive) status, sexual cadence, and semen analysis results entered at checkpoint reviews.
- Body composition data — weight and body-fat percentage entered manually at phase checkpoints.
All of this data is stored locally on your device and synced through your personal iCloud account. It is never transmitted to Origin Path or any third party.
2. How data is stored
All app data is stored exclusively in your iCloud container (iCloud.com.baby-plan.app.BabyPlan), which is controlled by your Apple ID. Origin Path has no servers, no databases, and no cloud infrastructure of its own. Only you — via your iCloud account — can access your data.
If you use the same Apple ID on multiple devices, iCloud automatically syncs your data across them. If you sign out of iCloud or delete the app, your data remains in your iCloud account until you remove it from iCloud Drive.
3. Apple HealthKit
Origin Path reads the following data types from Apple HealthKit with your explicit permission:
- Sleep analysis
- Step count
- Resting heart rate
- Heart rate variability (HRV SDNN)
- Workouts (type, duration, and energy)
- Alcoholic beverages (iOS 17 and later)
Origin Path never writes to Apple HealthKit and never requests write permissions. Each HealthKit source can be individually disabled in the app's Health Settings screen at any time. HealthKit data is used only to prefill your daily log and is stored in your iCloud account alongside your manually entered data.
Per Apple's HealthKit guidelines, HealthKit data is never used for advertising, shared with data brokers, or used for any purpose other than providing the app's core functionality to you.
4. Tracking and advertising
Origin Path does not track you. There are no analytics SDKs, no advertising networks, no crash-reporting services, and no third-party SDKs of any kind included in the app. We do not know how many people use Origin Path, which features they use, or anything about individual users' behavior.
5. Data sharing
We do not share your data with anyone because we do not have access to it. Your data lives in your iCloud account. Apple's iCloud Terms of Service govern how Apple stores and handles iCloud data.
6. Data deletion
To delete all app data:
- Delete the app from your device. This removes all locally cached data.
- Remove the iCloud container by going to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Origin Path, and tapping Delete Data. This permanently removes all synced data from iCloud.
7. Children
Origin Path is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children. The app is designed for adult users.
8. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Because Origin Path does not transmit your data to us, we are unable to fulfill traditional data-access or deletion requests on your behalf — all data is under your control via your Apple ID. To exercise your rights:
- Access your data: It is stored in your iCloud Drive under the Origin Path container.
- Delete your data: Follow the steps in Section 6 above.
- Port your data: JSON files in your iCloud container can be read in any text editor.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. For an app with no user accounts, we are unable to notify you directly, so we encourage you to check this page periodically.
